Additional Information

Natural Active Principles
  • Linden (Tilia spp): plant native to the northern emisphere, used since ancient times for its medicinal properties, thanks to the presence of a glucoside, of tannins and mucilage. It is useful in the treatment of anxiety, as it works as a muscle relaxant and has diuretic, antispasmodic and sedative effects. Flavonoids act like antioxidants, scavenging free radicals. Linden also act against proliferation of cancerous cells, especially in all cases of lymphoma.

  • Valerian (Valeriana officinalis): valerian is a perennial flowering plant whose root is used for its sedative properties. All species of valerian contain essential oils, some alkaloids and flavonoids. It’s used in traditional medicine for its anticonvulsive, sedative and neuroprotective properties. It has beneficial effects on the nervous system and reduces aggression.

  • Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha L.): this plant contains natural active principles such as flavonoids, polyphenols, triterpenes, amines and sterols with protective activity on the heart, thus improving cardiac function. It also acts on the central nervous system, keeping emotions in check and reducing tension.

  • L-tryptophan: this essential amino acid is involved in many chemical reactions, and especially in serotonin and nicotinic acid synthesis, as a precursor of serotonin, melatonin and niacin. Nutritional supplement with this amino acid helps decreasing all abnormal behavior, especially in dominant, aggressive dogs; in human medicine, L-tryptophan – beside having relaxing effects – helps control anxiety, stress, behavioural modifications bordering on self-harm, depression and aggression.

  • L-theanine: commonly found in tea, this amino acid can relax, improve concentration and the ability to study. Some researches evidenced its beneficial properties against cancer and cardiovascular disease; it promotes weight loss and boosts the immune system, increasing lymphocytes-T activity. It’s also a neuroprotective.

  • Pomegranate (Punica granatum): pomegranates are rich in polyphenols, ellagic acid in particular. This acid is a scavenger, meaning it helps contrasting fat tissues oxidation and free radicals damage, processes that are a major cause of tissue degeneration. Pomegranate seeds are rich in fatty acids, linoleic and linolenic acid, fundamentals for the general wellbeing.
Technical Data

Adequate food that includes all of the nutrients that nature intends and is free of the most toxic chemical and pharmacological pollutants, is the basis for maintaining both physical and mental balance in dogs. The invaluable active natural ingredients help improve the physiological defense mechanisms of the various systems of the body. The beneficial properties of these ingredients are well known in both traditional medicine and holistic medicine.

How can we guarantee that the extrusion and drying processes (up to 284°F) will not partially or entirely inactivate the effectiveness of the natural substances added? The FORZA10 R&D Center has implemented the ultimate solution to the problem with the Active Fresh System. The AFS works by adding natural principles into a special heart-shaped, cold pressed tablet, at room temperature. These tablets are combined with traditional kibbles in the ideal percentage to maintain the effectiveness of any thermo-sensitive substance added.

FORZA10 Active Line diets are made up of two components (the AFS tablet and kibbles) that have been selected to solve all the most common chronic or recurrent inflammations deriving from adverse reactions to food.

The undisputed effectiveness is founded on 4 basic principles:

  • Elimination of any possible source of oxytetracycline, since it has been proven* by Sergio Canello to be the most frequent cause of inflammation in dogs and cats. This antibiotic, legally and widely used in intensive farming, can become unpredictably toxic when its residues bind themselves to bone tissue, especially in chickens. Anything containing bones from intensively farmed animals can contain this toxin and be the cause of many pathologies**.
  • Use of a specific pool of medicinal plants, selected for their antitoxic, antioxidant and immune-modulating properties (since the immune system is often depleted by oxytetracycline toxicity and – more widely speaking – by other environmental pollutants).
  • Use of specific amounts of Omega-3 fatty acids, usually very scarce in most pet food, in order to restore a correct Omega-3:Omega-6 ratio.
  • Use of herring or anchovy, small pelagic fishes that bypass the risk of contamination by heavy metals and are wild-caught in the ocean. Moreover, herrings and anchovies are processed as a whole, making for an excellent source of proteins of the highest biological value, characterized by an optimal digestibility and by the absence of oxytetracycline residues.

Our Active Line kibbles – beside containing wild-caught fish as a high value protein source – employ rice or potatoes as hypoallergenic source of carbohydrates, and fish oil, naturally rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.

This diet is also enriched by special heart-shaped tablets that carry a pool of specific natural extracts, mixed with kibbles in a 7% ratio. Thanks to our AFS (Active Fresh System) patented technology, these tablets are cold-pressed, in order to preserve the efficacy of the herbal extracts inside them.

* Poultry Science: Cytotoxic effects of oxytetracycline residues in the bones of broiler chickens following therapeutic oral administration of a water formulation.
** JBMT “Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology”: Toxicological implications and inflammatory response in human lymphocytes challenged with oxytetracycline.

  • High quality raw materials, systematically controlled (more than 5000 quality controls per year), without chemical and pharmacological toxic residues, especially those deriving from oxytetracycline, that we identified as a major cause of inflammation and cellular apoptosis.
  • Single source protein: small pelagic fish (wild-caught herrings or anchovies).
  • Single source carbohydrate: rice (with the exception of Canine Dermo Active and Canine Renal Active, that contain potato, and of Feline Renal Active, containing corn).
  • Short ingredient list, to keep the risk of food intolerances and allergies as low as possible.
  • High natural Omega-3 content: these fatty acids are fundamentals because of their anti-inflammatory properties, their ability to keep cellular growth in check (especially useful in the case of adipose cells) and to preserve the elasticity of cellular membranes. They sensibly decrease the risk of excess fat and reduce the frequency of lesions to elastic tissues (such as ligament tears, dislocations, sprains, intervertebral disks herniation, difficulties at birth).
  • Insertion of a selection of herbal extracts, each one specifically studied by SANYpet’s Research&Development Department in its antitoxic, antioxidant and immune-modulating effects. These beneficial properties balance the immune system – attacked everyday by environmental pollutants that alter its defense mechanisms – helping restore your animal’s health.
